Around the conference site

• The "Vieux Port" desserves a visit and a promenade along its quay.
• The basilica "Notre Dame de la Garde" and its dominant view of Marseilles
• The "Panier" quarter and its narrow streets, on the other side of the port.
• The "Mucem" Museum not far from the "Panier", on the other side of the port.
• The streets "La Canebière", "Rue Saint Férréol", "Rue de la République".
• The abbey of Saint Victor, 5 min from the conference site.
• The Catalan beach (5 min walk as well).

The Calanques

If you wish to visit the famous Calanques of Marseille, you can  take the subway to the the tsop Castellane and  then, take the bus number B1  until you reach Luminy. Go up to the end of the road outside the University campus, you will find the path going to the Calanques.
